Garden Variety Eggs is proud to present Easter Around the World on April 9 at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem.
Artist and owner Jen Wanisko has researched many Easter traditions and will bring together displays and items representing practices from 12 countries including Ukraine, Germany, France, Mexico and Australia.
In addition to the exhibits about Easter in other countries, the event will feature three local artists.
Egg Artist Christina Deutsch will demonstrate pysanky, an ancient Ukranian method of egg decorating that uses a wax-resist technique and colorful dyes.
Poured Paint Artist KL Crichton will show the beautiful results she has achieved when she recently adapted her fluid art techniques from canvas to eggs and glassware.
Wanisko will demonstrate Pennsylvania German methods of egg decorating and natural dying using onion skins.
Attendees can find unique Easter gifts or the perfect decorative touch for their Easter gathering.
