‘I never thought it would be this amazing’

Twenty-degree weather and blowing snow on Sunday wasn’t going stop Sam Albert from standing on the sidelines of Arrowhead Stadium with the biggest smile in Chiefs Kingdom.Thanks to the Dream Factory, Albert, a junior at Blue Valley North, had his dream of going to a game at Arrowhead Stadium come true.Albert lives with Type 1 diabetes, a life-altering disease. But the Dream Factory and the Chiefs made Albert’s life a little better with handshakes from the players, including from No. 15 himself.Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes even gave Albert the game ball.“When you have children, to see them get to experience something like this, considering that he had a diagnosis that was so life changing, it’s just awesome,” Albert’s father, Mitchell Albert, said.“I never thought it would be this amazing,” Albert said.
