DIY fan creates ‘incredible’ rustic bedroom feature wall from wooden pallets for £50

A DIY -fan has created a stunning feature wall using wooden pallets.

Scott James, a fitness instructor from the West Midlands, created the rustic chic wall by hand in his bedroom.

The 42-year-old didn’t stain or paint the wood but arranged them into an attractive design based on the wood’s natural tone.

And, the best part is the price. By creating the wall himself it set Scott back just £50 for the materials which he bought from Facebook.

Scott bought a selection of differently coloured wooden pallets from the online marketplace.

He separated them into planks and then planned where he would set them.

Scott nailed the plans to the wall where they looked best

Next, Scott attached the wood to the wall using nails and glue.

If you use a nail gun this part becomes much easier and faster so it’s worth the small investment.

It only took him a few hours in al, reports Deadline.

Scott spoke to Daily Star Online about his project.

He said: “I bought the pallets from a company on Facebook for £50.

“It’s just old pallet wood and I didn’t stain them – they were left natural.”

The result was a beautiful, cabin-like effect

DIY-fans were impressed by the rustic look on Facebook.

The post racked up a massive 8,800 likes and 1,000 comments.

“Wow, it looks incredible,” said one person.

Another added: “Beautifully done, it looks banging.

“Now I have an idea of what to do with my outdated counters.”

While a third wrote: “Love this!

“So simple.”

We agree – Scott has managed to get an amazing finish on the wall.

Very impressive!
