The directors of a Worcestershire pharmaceutical wholesaler, which is one of the largest of its kind in the UK, have praised its “strong results” for its latest financial year.
Lexon UK, which is based in Redditch, has reported a turnover of £200.9m for the 12 months to 30 April 2019, slightly up from £200.8m.
Its pre-tax profits dropped from £10.7m to £6.9m over the same period.
Family-run Lexon has been operated by four principal co-founders since 1995.
A statement signed off by the board said: “The directors consider the performance in 2019 was as expected and the underlying business remains strong.
“The directors are looking to build on the strong results achieved in the financial year ending April 2019.”
