Delivering Supply Chain Visibility And Indian Street Food With Cleo

COVID-19 has re-introduced demand for a more direct to consumer business model says Vidya Chadaga, vice president of products at Cleo, a business ecosystem integration software company.

In this episode of The Channel Cooking At Home, Chadaga shares how the Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) Cockpit, a new visual control panel of real-time actionable insights, empowers organizations to keep a pulse on their operations while preparing Bhel Puri, a childhood favorite Indian dish.

Dish:

Bhel Puri (Indian Street Food)

LIST OF INGREDIENTS:

– Puffed Rice

– Tomatoes

– Potatoes

– Onions

– Dry-roasted, Salted Peanuts

– Sev (fried gram flour vermicelli)

A chutney is a family of condiments or sauces made of fruits or vegetables with vinegar, spices and sugar, originating in India.

Dates-Tamarind Chutney

– Dates

– Tamarind

– Molasses

– Red Chili Powder

Green Chutney

– Lemon or Lime

– Cilantro

– Green chilies

– Garlic

– Optional: Onions

INSTRUCTIONS:

Dates-Tamarind Chutney

In a small pan, bring the following ingredients to a slow boil: half a cup of water, softened tamarind and dates, two spoons of molasses, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, ¼ teaspoon roasted cumin powder and salt to taste.

Blend to make a paste!

Green Chutney

Blend ½ cup of cilantro leaves, 3 garlic cloves, 1 to 2 green chilies, lemon juice and ¼ teaspoon salt.

Veggies

Peel and chop 1 onion, 1 potato, and 1 tomato.

Making Bhel Puri

First, dry roast two cups of puffed rice in a pan to make it super crispy.

Then, in a large mixing bowl, add chopped boiled potatoes, onions and tomatoes.

Add dates-tamarind chutney and green chutney.

Toss really well.

Serve Bhel Puri immediately in individual bowls so it doesn’t get soggy!

Top off with dry-roasted, salted peanuts and sev, and enjoy!
