Daniel Allen Taylor, 52, died suddenly on July 15, 2022 at his home in Benicia, CA. Born on January 13,1970 to Stefan Taylor and Beverly Bruker in Richmond, CA, Danny spent most of his childhood growing up with his sister Debbie in Benicia. After graduating high school in 1988, Danny began his career in the Oil and Gas industry working for Parsons, Fluor, and Bechtel Corporation. Danny traveled extensively both domestically and abroad throughout his career where he held positions in Material Management. Most recently he worked for Build Group as their Senior Supply Chain Manager in Sunnyvale, CA.
Although well-accomplished in his career Danny considered his two children his greatest achievements. Above any, his son, Gannon, and daughter, Finnley, were who he was most proud of in life.
In 1994 Danny married Christine Pangelinan. Christine was the love of Danny’s life. He loved being part of Christine’s large family and considered her brothers his brothers. Over three decades, Danny and his family spent time living in places such as Alaska, Canada, and Australia. In 2016 the family moved to Beaumont, TX for five years and in May of 2021 the family returned to Benicia with the hopes of settling in the Bay Area long enough to see Gannon and Finnley through high school. Danny dreamed of retiring with his family in the beautiful rolling hills of Tennessee.
Danny loved traveling, enjoyed seeing beautiful landscapes and trying new culinary experiences. His personal interests included cars, fishing, shooting, golfing, and Raiders football games. Danny was an avid BBQer, known for his cheeseburgers that were made of a home ground secret selection of meats and seasoning. Second to his cheeseburgers were his smoked ribs, which were Gannon and Finnley’s favorite; his cheeseburgers were Christine’s favorite.
A deeply loving, compassionate and beautiful soul, he is survived by his wife, Christine, son, Gannon, daughter, Finnley, his mother, Beverly, and sister, Deborah.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 11am. Immediately following the mass, a celebration of life reception will be held at the home of Danny’s sister, Debbie, in Walnut Creek. Address details will be announced after the mass; all are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting a memorial gift made to Gannon and Finnley’s college fund via UGift using codes 87Z-Z8Z (Gannon) and E45-U3C (Finnley) www.ugift529.com or gofund.me/ea71d4c4
