Copper Inventories in Domestic Bonded Zones Dipped 7,000 mt from September 30_SMM

SHANGHAI, Oct 9 (SMM) – Copper inventories in domestic bonded zones fell 7,000 mt from September 30 to 51,700 mt as of October 9, according to the SMM survey. Inventory in the Shanghai bonded zone dipped 5,000 mt to 41,700 mt, and that in the Guangdong bonded zone dropped 2,000 mt to 10,000 mt. Before the National Day holiday, the import window remained open, and some goods in the bonded zone warehouses flowed into the domestic market according to the customs declaration demand. However, the decline in bonded zone inventory was limited because of the suspension of warehouse operations during the holiday. In the later stage, the market should pay attention to the arrivals of cargo that shipped to ports during the holiday at the bonded zone warehouses after the warehouses resume the normal operations.
