Basic functions:
Responsible for logistical and administrative support for the New Construction Team. Perform and manage tasks required to coordinate projects directly related to the New Construction Department as necessary to build Habitat houses, while upholding the standards of safety, partnership, quality, and team participation. The associate should show initiative, represent Habitat in a positive and professional manner, and be able to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
Essential functions:
• Manage and oversee permit applications for New Residential projects
• Oversee Sustainability program initiatives, coordinating between Habitat staff and third-party energy raters (System Vision and Energy Star 3.0)
• Manage Grant funded projects for applicable projects from bidding through compliance and tracking
• Create and maintain Construction files and accurate tracking documents for Permitting, Sustainability, Utilities, Security installations, grant tracking, subcontractor forms, and general administrative files as needed
• Coordinate and Issue Work Orders/Purchase Orders for construction on a weekly basis
• Create and maintain positive vendor relationships to ensure that Habitat receives the best materials and services at the best pricing
• Assist with Project build schedules and coordinate with Subcontractors and vendors on a frequent basis
• Manage and lead the Procurement Team to ensure that Construction needs are met
• Actively investigate and pursue opportunities to reduce construction costs on an ongoing basis
• Coordinate with Development team on GIK asks and tracking. Responsible for reporting all GIK usage to Accounting
• Oversee warehouse operations and GIK management in coordination with the Warehouse Manager, supporting the Warehouse Manager in the implementation of organizational, logistical, and inventory tracking procedures
• Assist Director of New Construction in maintaining the safety of the Warehouse and construction tools
• Be an effective team member when working with staff, homeowners, and volunteers
• Assist on job sites as time allows to create good rapport with field staff and understand job site workflow

Education and skills:
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of construction process and timeline
• Work order and Purchase order Software experience, a plus
• General Admin experience, including communication skills, organizational skills, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Microsoft OneDrive
• Ability to Multi-Task with a high level of attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to work well with all types of people, communicating positively and respectfully

Physical requirements:
Ability to work in an office setting, duties may involve sitting for prolonged periods of time with the ability to work on a computer up to 8 hours a day. Occasional job site or vendor visits may be required.
