Congressman Richard Hudson announces procurement of 100,000 face masks for 8th district

The press release further states that Rep. Hudson has supported efforts to expand the availability of protective equipment and testing throughout North Carolina and the country. Rep. Hudson supported the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act in March which provided $16 billion to the Strategic National Stockpile for personal protective equipment, ventilators, and other medical supplies. Rep. Hudson also supported the latest relief measure passed by Congress last month which included $25 billion to build on previous efforts and expand testing capacity. Due to these efforts, the U.S. has now completed more than 9.4 million tests, by far the most in the world.
