COFCO International names chief risk officer | Article

COFCO International, a global agriculture supply chain, has appointed Khaja Qureshi as chief risk officer. Qureshi takes over the role from Tony Tian, who was named managing director for Brazil and North America earlier this year.

In his new position, Qureshi will oversee the company’s risk management framework, including market, credit, operational risk, and insurance. He joined COFCO in 2018 as global head of market risk and deputy chief risk officer before taking over day-to-day risk management operations as managing director later that year.

Before joining COFCO, Qureshi worked over 15 years in business risk operations and global commodities market risk management at JPMorgan and Socar Trading.

Qureshi will be based at COFCO’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and report to CEO David Dong.
