Clampdown Needed On Profiteering During Pandemic

One wholesaler is selling hand sanitiers for €42 a litre.

A midlands TD’s demanding a clampdown on profiteering during the current coronavirus pandemic.


Roscommon-Galway deputy Denis Naughten says the cost of hand sanitisers in particular have risen due to increased demand.


He says he came across one wholesaler selling it for €42 a litre – more than double the price before the crisis.
