Job Summary: Our On-Premise Sales Representative is an entry-level position responsible for selling, promoting, and growing our ever-expanding portfolio of products through bar and restaurant selling channels. You can expect to be an integral member of our sales team who offers valuable insights and works to develop, build, and leverage relationships with our existing on-premise accounts in your territory. This position will work to foster the growth of our sales and open new distribution channels.
About the Work:

You’ll establish and maintain a regular weekly schedule of account appointments within your assigned territory and ensure proper merchandising of all accounts with permanent and paper points-of-sale.

You will develop and maintain effective account relationships with owners, managers, and employees of your assigned accounts.

You’ll directly represent the world-class brands of Cape Beverage Distributing out in the market and promote brand awareness by building brand presence within our existing bar, restaurant, and hospitality account bases. This will include the coordination and management of special events, programs, promotions, and initiatives set forth by suppliers.

You’ll execute monthly and quarterly sales goals by working with the sales team to develop new account leads and optimize distribution opportunities.

You will handle accounts receivable collections according to federal, state, and local laws as well as customer and account inquiries regarding credit, delivery, and product information.

You’re going to work with retailers to equalize order quantities between their scheduled deliveries.

You will track results on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis to include: distribution, menus, features (permanent and temporary), promotions (facilitated and unfacilitated), visibility, and bar and waitstaff persuasion and training.

You will remain up-to-date on the opportunities to increase sales and ensure parity by checking and noticing pricing on comparable products. You should be comfortable requesting a competitor’s space for new placements or expanding existing placements.

About You:

You have at least three years experience in beverage sales working with a brewery, wholesaler, or retailer. Similar relevant experience will be considered.

You have a college degree or relevant experience, preferably working with on-premise accounts.

You are at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and good driving record. You should be comfortable with extensive car travel.

You are comfortable with brewery sales technology such as VIP and KARMA.

You are detail oriented and results-driven with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are energetic, organized, and passionate about the craft brewing industry.

You understand and feel comfortable operating Microsoft Office Suite, PC operating systems, and an iPad.

You are comfortable standing, walking, talking, hearing, grasping, handling, pushing, pulling, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time.

You are able to handle and maneuver 30 pound cases and 165 pound kegs.

You are comfortable operating a calculator, computer, and cell phone.
