Bulgaria’s Power Distribution North opens 15 mln euro power line construction tender

SOFIA (Bulgaria), June 11 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria’s Power Distribution North, a unit of Czech power utility Energo-Pro, said on Thursday that it has launched a tender for contracts for construction and repair of low and medium voltage power lines, worth an estimated total of 29.5 million levs ($17.2 million/15.1 million euro).

The tender is divided into four lots, two of which concerning works in the Varna region and another two for the Dobrich and Shumen regions, Power Distribution North said in a tender notice.

The deadline for submitting offers is July 27.

Bids will be ranked solely based on price.

Earlier this week, Power Distribution North opened a tender for contracts worth a total of 16.8 million levs for similar works in the Silistra, Targovishte, Veliko Tarnovo and Gabrovo regions.

Power Distribution North operates 26 power substations and power lines with a total length of over 43,000 km over a territory of nearly 30,000 sq m in northeastern Bulgaria.
