Brexit trading travails put companies to the test | Ireland

In the face of a global pandemic it is perhaps understandable that Brexit was not the dominant business issue across the island in 2021. But while it may have slipped down the agenda for many companies, it remains a live issue that is set to continue to evolve and to have an impact next year and beyond.

Remarkably, while it is now more than half a decade since the UK voted to leave the EU, the situation remains fluid. The pandemic and a lack of detailed data have also made it complicated to measure Brexit’s impact on companies across the island.
