Reading Time: < 1 minute

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has visited one of Europe’s largest plant-based factories.

The politician met with vegan entrepreneur Heather Mills at the VBites factory in Seaton Delaval, Northumberland.

Back in October, Mills partnered with the National Health Service who have moved into part of the 385,000 square foot site to manufacture PPE during the COVID-19 crisis.

“When I took a big risk to help create jobs in the North East, when all the big players were running to the hills because of Brexit… Even though I had been offered a free factory to build VBites in Austria for Europe,” Mills said.
