Billerica Truck Driver Dies At Conley Shipping Terminal In Boston

BOSTON — A truck driver was killed at Conley Terminal in Boston Harbor Wednesday, Massport officials confirmed.

The incident occurred at the Paul W. Conley Container Terminal around 11:40 a.m., Massachusetts State Police said and the terminal closed just after noon according to Port of Boston.

Police say a 72-year-old man from Revere was driving a truck that was pulling a trailer in the busy terminal when the vehicle struck a worker who was outside of his own truck.

The man who was hit was a 41-year-old trucker from Billerica and was struck and killed. Police later said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
