Average temperatures but drier than usual

November 2019 was dry but temperatures were close to average.

November is typically the fourth coolest month of the year behind December, January and February according to the 1981 to 2010 Canadian Climate statistics.

The month was almost right on target and within a degree of the seasonal averages. Last month’s average high was 5.6C and the average low was -3.3C, compared to the climatic average high of 5.6C and low of -2.4C.

However, our precipitation for last month was less than usual. With seasonal amounts for the month of November at 36.7mm, we recorded just 67% of the seasonal average at the Kelowna airport weather station with only 24.7mm.

We will see the possibility of snow to start off December, with an increasing risk of snow tonight.
