Austria’s Feller to build 5 mln euro factory in Serbia’s Subotica

BELGRADE (Serbia), May 11 (SeeNews) – Austrian power cords manufacturer Feller plans to invest 5 million euro ($5.3 million) in the construction of a production plant in Subotica, northern Serbia, the city government said.

The company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Subotica city council under which it commits to building a factory in the Subotica Free Zone with a workforce of about 100 employees during the first phase of its development, the local government said in a statement on Tuesday.

“In this document, the City of Subotica expressed its readiness to speed up and facilitate all procedures for the investor and to provide the necessary infrastructure for access to the plots on which the factory will be built,” city mayor Stevan Bakic said in the statement.

Feller operates a total of four production plants located in Austria, the U.S., Hungary and the UK.
