Artist Shares She-Hulk ‘Shipping Template for Your Thirsty Fan Art

Blackbird artist Jen Bartel shared a way for fans to draw a character of their choice into the final scene of the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer.

Bartel, who won an Eisner award in 2019 for her work as a cover artist on Image Comic’s Blackbird and Vault Comic’s Submerged, posted a She-Hulk template onto her JenBartel.Club Substack page. The template is based on the final scene in the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer where Jennifer Walters picks up a man and carries him across an apartment. “I thought it would be fun to make a template (with the comic version that I’ve been drawing on all those covers) for anyone who wants to draw in their OC or really, any character in this (iconic) pose,” Bartel posted.

Bartel also created the cover art for Marvel’s 2022 She-Hulk series, which launched in January. Written by Rainbow Rowell with art by Luca Maresca and Roge Antonio, the first three issues of the series have followed Walters following her time on Jason Aaron’s Avengers as she now returns to her law career — while also smashing the occasional criminal or villain, when the situation calls for it.

Marvel released the first trailer for the Disney+ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series on May 17. Along with the iconic moment at the end, the Tatiana Maslany-starring trailer also features Jameela Jamil as Titania, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/Abomination and Benedict Wong as Wong. Additional cast members include Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry.

Announced at 2019’s D23, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law marks the eighth MCU TV series to premiere on Disney+. The series was written and created by Jessica Gao, with episodes being directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia. The show will begin releasing on Disney+ on Aug. 17, with the first season containing eight episodes in total.

The She-Hulk character was created by Stan Lee and John Buscema. First appearing in 1980’s The Savage She-Hulk #1, Jennifer Walters gets her gamma-induced powers after her cousin, Bruce Banner, gives her an emergency blood transfusion. Walters generally is portrayed as having more control over her powers compared to Banner, as she’s able to retain her personality when transforming into a giant, hulking monster. The character has been a member of a number of Marvel teams over the years, including the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Heroes for Hire and more. The recently announced Damage Control series will see her star alongside Moon Knight, Quicksilver and others for a brand new mission that will reveal some of the secret inner workings of the cleanup crew.
