‘All hell broke loose’ during fire at a Warehouse store in Waikato

A fire at The Warehouse in Morrinsville is under investigation.

Investigations are under way to determine the cause of an fire at The Warehouse in Morrinsville.

Emergency services were called to the fire on Studholme St about 1.40am on Wednesday, northern fire communications shift manager Craig Dally said. 

When fire crews arrived there was smoke showing and shortly after they called for more crews as “all hell broke loose”. 

Dally said the fire was extinguished pretty quickly after crews arrived and there didn’t appear to be too much damage, just a lot of smoke from a small fire. 

The Warehouse executive general manager of operations Ian Carter said all team members were safe and the store would remain closed on Wednesday while they assessed the situation. 

Fire investigators are at the scene this morning to determine the cause.
