Air Menzies International announces additions to NZ branch

Air Menzies International (AMI) has announced its new New Zealand branch manager: Shane Pillanger.

Pillanger, who has more than 24 years of freight forwarding experience, will oversee operations at the AMI Auckland and Christchurch branches.

He has previously held positions at Fliway International New Zealand, Vanguard Logistics Services and Nippon Express New Zealand.

Commenting on his new role, Pillanger said: “I am really looking forward to my future with AMI. I like to find opportunities in every challenge, so to have the opportunity to lead the AMI team in New Zealand and grow the business by creating strong long-term partnerships with clients is one I find really exciting.”

AMI New Zealand has also appointed a new national sales manager: Yvette Firth.

Firth has 35 years of experience, including roles at Menlo Worldwide Forwarding, EGL Eagle Global Logistics and global giant DB Schenker, where she held major roles including freight forwarding operations manager and trade lane manager.

Firth commented: “At AMI we are passionate about our clients’ business. Our aim is always to build, develop and grow our relationships with our clients. With access to AMI’s global network, we can help to develop their business in key markets across the world, such as the US and Europe.”
