AHMEDABAD : Ahmedabad Steamer Agent’s Association (ASAA) organised a visit to Adani Hazira Port for their members on 17th Sept 2022.
ASAA on behalf of all the participants’ members thankful for the kind courtesy extended during the visit by Adani Hazira Port officials. A special thanks to Mr Jayesh Chandar, Mr Dhiraj Tank for explaining details of port operations and advantage for EXIM trade for using HAZIRA.
During pandemic and in the recent past it was noticed by the EXIM trade that Hazira port is a new gateway port and there is a considerable movement from Ahmedabad to Hazira port is taking place although Hazira is not connected by rail. There is a huge potential and immense opportunities for Hazira port in future.
Ahmedabad Steamer Agent’s Association was formed in the very early days of 90’s and couple of years after the ICD-Sabarmati came into existence. Popularly known by its acronym ASAA, the primary purpose of its formation to bring all the shipping lines direct or through their agent’s under one umbrella. This was planned so that ASAA would be able to represent the interest of its members in much better way while dealing with statutory bodies like CONCOR, CUSTOMS, Port Authorities and other stake holders of EXIM Trade. At present ASAA consist of more than 20 members including major MLO’s and NVOCC.
