After 100 years, it’s now Bifulco’s Pickle Works – and it’s a lot more than pickles. The food distributorship for restaurants is open to the public.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Pickle Works has lived at 1116 Targee Street for almost 100 years, a food and paper supply wholesaler popular among borough restaurant owners and caterers. Earlier this year, its owners, the Pfisterer family, sold to three entrepreneurs who have since merged with Star Supply, formerly of West Brighton. The Concord business is now known as Bifulco’s Pickle Works, a nod to one of its principles.
