Eagle Campos will work for Shell subsidiary Brazil Shipping I Limited under a charter agreed in 2019. The vessel is the first in a series of three suezmaxes due to be delivered to AET this year by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). The vessels will operate in the Brazilian Basin.
According to AET, the 153,000 dwt vessel is in full compliance with IMO NOx Tier 3 and SOx emission requirements and is EEDI Phase 2 compliant. Eagle Campos is classed with DNV and equipped with electrical-driven Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) cargo pumps, high-power thrusters for enhanced fuel efficiency and energy-saving devices including Hi Pre-Swirl Duct and Rudder Bulb for improved propulsion efficiency.

The delivery of Eagle Campos brings AET’s specialised DP2 shuttle tanker fleet to 12 on the water, with a further five due for delivery in 2022.
