A snapshot of the green paper proposals on procurement challenges – what are your views?

We are looking for your views on the Government’s proposals to change the domestic legal framework for public procurement.

Below is a one page snapshot of the proposed reforms to procurement challenges, which we hope you find useful.

The Green Paper on Transforming Public Procurement was published in December (available here) and suggests that the current processes for legal review of tenders cost too much and take too long, making any challenge inaccessible to many.

The proposed reforms are spread across 8 chapters, with Chapter 7 focusing specifically on challenges to public procurement processes and decisions.

The Cabinet Office is looking for responses to the Green Paper by early March, and we are looking to include feedback from our clients and contacts to make it easier for you to have your say without having to formally respond.

We would love to hear from you with your thoughts and encourage everyone involved with public procurement – whether as a bidder, contracting authority or utility – to make the most of this opportunity to put forward your views on what the future of public procurement in the UK should look like, and what kind of system would work best for you.
