New Distribution Warehouse Means More Jobs For Orange: Report

ORANGE, CT — A new distribution warehouse is slated for the former Lowe’s and Sam’s Club sites on the Boston Post Road in Orange, though the specific tenant of the facility has not yet been revealed, reports the Connecticut Post.

Town officials are not revealing the name of the new tenant, but the Post writes that it could be Amazon.

Under the proposal, recently presented to and approved by the Town Plan and Zoning Commission, the former Lowe’s will house a facility of more than 160,000 square feet, and the former Sam’s Club will be used for indoor parking of vehicles.

Work is well underway at the sites, but information on when the facility will open, and how many jobs it might create, was not immediately available.
