Atlantic Medicinal opens marijuana dispensary in former Fitchburg LEGO factory

Atlantic Medicinal Partners of Woburn officially opened its new Fitchburg marijuana dispensary at noon on Friday, the company announced, where it will serve both recreational and medicinal customers.

The dispensary is located just off Route 2, at 774 Crawford St., near the Leominster city line. The space was previously a LEGO toy factory, according to a press release.

“This location allowed us to create a state-of-the-art cultivation facility and premium retail experience where consumers can find every product to meet their needs and have a truly memorable experience,” CEO Stephen Perkins said in a statement. “The city of Fitchburg is a great place to open a business, and we are thankful for the support we have received.”

AMP’s Fitchburg location bills itself as the only seed-to-sale dispensary in the area, meaning that cultivation and manufacturing all take place on site.

AMP Fitchburg currently employs more than 20 people.
