German industrial packaging producer Roundliner opens factory in Bosnia’s Prijedor

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 3 (SeeNews) – German industrial packaging producer Roundliner has opened a factory in Bosnia’s northwestern city of Prijedor, the local authorities said.

The PVC packaging factory, located in the city’s Celpak industrial zone, employs 14 workers, with the number expected to rise to 50 by the year’s end, the Prijedor municipality said in a statement on Wednesday.

The value of the investment was not disclosed.

The entire output of the factory will be exported, with two trucks carrying 32 pallets each to depart for Germany and the Czech Republic this week, the statement reads.

Prijedor mayor Milenko Djakovic said in the statement that this is the first of three production units Roundliner plans to develop, with the ultimate number of employees seen at 200.

The project was launched in November 2019, when the two parties signed a contract for the sale of 12,000 square metres of land in the Celpak zone.
