Ningbo Containerized Freight index rises in August

From January to July, the Container throughput of Chinese ports decease slightly,and the Ningbo Containerized Freight index (NCFI) rises in August

From January to July 2020, the cargo volume of Chinese ports was 8006.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.4%; the container throughput of Chinese ports was 144.01million TEU, a year-on-year decrease of 3.8%. The overall downward trend has gradually stopped.

In July, Ningbo exported containers increase 8.0% compared with the same period last year . In terms of container freight rates, by August. 21, the average value of the Ningbo Container Freight index (NCFI) in August was quotes 868.22 points, have a increase of 9.2% compare to last month. The average freight rate of 40GP from Ningbo Port to Novosibirsk Port in August was $2505, a month-on-month increase of 6.1%
