Esteemed FMCG major seeks a high-achieving Procurement Leader to enter a large-scale transformation project of their first-class procurement function. Working across indirect procurement spend, the successful individual will be immersed in the firm’s executive stakeholder base as they look to create long-term category strategies that operate in line with company ambitions.
Interim Procurement Transformation Lead Responsibilities:
- As part of a CPO sponsored programme, you will work closely with procurement leader and senior executives to develop and implement a procurement operating model across a spend of over £3bn
- Engaging cross-functionally with various business units to develop strategic category plans across indirect categories
- Strategically source new suppliers, managing the full end-to-end tender process to maximise savings and create value within the function
- Liaising with global stakeholders to ensure the consistent expansion of the procurement function
- Creating and implementing innovative ideas for the long and short-term development of the function
Role Requirements:
- Excellent procurement transformation experience across large blue-chip organisations
- FMCG Industry expertise ideal
- Strong experience in cost savings programme/ procurement operating model deployment
- Involvement in managing large spends across indirect categories with a proven track record of generating savings and creating value in a function
- Excellent track record of procurement leadership
