Preston police uncover nine-room cannabis factory worth ‘millions’

Police have uncovered a cannabis factory in Preston believed to be worth more than a million pounds.

Officers from Preston Neighbourhood Policing Team raided a property on a large industrial unit off Brook Street after receiving a tip off from the local community.

As officers arrived they discovered a huge dividing wall which had a small secluded hatch – this turned out to be the entrance to a hidden ‘substantial’ cannabis cultivation.

The grow consisted of nine rooms and over 3500 cannabis plants of varying sizes, with a street value exceeding one million pounds.
