Sarasota County earns Top Green Provider Honors from for Supply Chain Logistics

Sarasota County Government’s Materials Management team has earned the Top Green Provider Award from Food Logistics. “We believe that optimizing our supply chain strategy matters from our board rooms all the way down to shop floor by ensuring that we are getting fast, low-cost ,high quality products to our customers that are compatible with green supply chain principles,” Lowdermilk said, adding, “Our Materials Management team continues to be industry leaders in these efforts while finding cost savings for the community and reducing the environmental impacts.” “This award is just one more recognition of the leadership of Sarasota County’s Material Management division for implementing sustainability practices in their operations. As a team, they are regularly looking for efficiency opportunities, saving taxpayer dollars, time and natural resources,” Byron said.
