Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District holding collection event | Geauga County

The Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District will hold a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection on from 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 1 for residents of the two counties.

This collection will be held at the Trumbull Collection Facility, 5138 Enterprise Blvd. in Warren.

Residents can recycle oil-based paint, automotive fluids, pesticides, anti-freeze, propane tanks, batteries, and other types of household hazardous wastes not accepted at the curb by waste haulers, according to a news release.

The following items will not be accepted: latex paint, trash, tires, construction debris, or trailer loads of material.

Questions about acceptable materials can be directed to the Solid Waste District office at 330-675-2673 or 800-707-2673. A list of acceptable materials is also available at www.gottagogreen.org.

This program is free and open only to residents of Geauga and Trumbull counties. No material will be accepted from commercial businesses.
