OKC-area Jewish center to host second mask distribution

“We feel a deep responsibility to serve and are determined to help in any way we can, especially during these challenging times,” he said in a statement.

“We are here to give practical assistance and try and help people stay strong through this terrible pandemic.”

He said he grew up in New York, and he and his wife moved to Oklahoma more than 20 years ago. The rabbi said he has embraced what has become known as the “Oklahoma Standard,” and the center’s mask outreach is an example of that standard.

The free, reusable 100% cotton masks will be available on a first come, first served basis, and are approved by the Department of Health & Human Services.
