Hyderabad: The State government on Monday ordered extension of relaxation of the provisions of Article 125 of Telangana State Financial Code and related Government Orders on procurement of Covid containment related material from June 1, 2020, till October 31, 2020.
The material include certain diagnostic, surgical and other medical equipment, drugs and pharmaceuticals and other essential services meant for containment of the virus. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar in his order extended the earlier order (GO. Ms. No 29) issued on April 4, 2020 relaxing the norms till the month of May.
The extension facilitates the health, medical and family welfare department to procure the essentials on a quick mode. The GO permits procurement of medical equipment and supplies even from suppliers who are not empanelled or from any other source at the Rate Contract or government e-market rates or rates that are deemed reasonable.
