The Semi is apparently being used to help speed up deliveries of the Tesla Model 3 as the global pandemic has caused delivery problems for Tesla. Many trucking companies are not up and running to full capacity which means Tesla is having trouble getting its mass market sedan to its new owner.
The company appears to have turned to a prototype of its Tesla Semi truck. Although it can tow up to 80,000 pounds thanks to four electric engines, we’re curious how much help the Semi can be as it transports a handful of cars or so at a time. In other words, this may be a publicity stunt.
Elon Must tweeted out a picture of the Semi being used to transport Teslas last year too. Moreover, Musk recently said the Semi needed to go into mass production and this week, California announced tougher regulations for trucks starting in 2024. Now would be a good time to get some coverage on the Tesla Semi.

That doesn’t take anything away from the truck, however. Offering up to 500 miles of range (800 kilometres), the Tesla Semi could help revolutionize the way goods are transported across the US. We should see many more in the next few months/weeks.
