Stearns Wharf has been open during the pandemic with only a few of the restaurants available for takeout. Now, Phase 2 implementation has allowed almost all of the businesses to reopen. The Sea Center and Conway Winery will start to reopen when safe to do so, likely in Phase 3.

For public safety, the businesses are certifying to county and state health requirements. There is room for safe distancing, all the restaurants have outdoor seating, and as always, fishing is free. Masks are required for entry into the shops and restaurants. Lil’ Toot is wearing a mask, too.

Open for business are:

Celebration Cruises and Lil’ Toot
Char West
Deep Blue Sea
Great Pacific Ice Cream Co
Harbor Restaurant and Longboards
Mother Stearns Candy Company
Nature’s Own Gallery
Old Wharf Trading Co. & Topside Clothing
Santa Barbara Shellfish
Stearns Wharf Bait & Tackle

Planning to open in Phase 3:

Sea Center
Conway Deep Sea Tasting Room

Opening June 15
Moby Dick Restaurant

Open by appointment: Madame Rosinka

Parking on the wharf and the adjacent lots are not currently being monitored, so visitors can take advantage of the free parking.

When completed in 1872, Stearns Wharf became the longest deep-water wharf between San Pedro and San Francisco. Named for its builder, local lumberman John P. Stearns, the wharf served the passenger and freight shipping needs of California’s South Coast for over a century. For more, visit www.stearnswharf.org.
