Germany’s Koenig Metall to hire 350 employees at factory in Serbia

BELGRADE (Serbia), June 9 (SeeNews) – German automotive metal components manufacturer Koenig Metall plans to hire 350 employees at its future factory in Ivanjica, in central Serbia, prime minister Ana Brnabic has said.

The company will hire 120 employees in the first phase of the development of the factory, which will produce parts for Porsche and Audi brands, and will increase staff numbers to 350 in the next three years, Brnabic said in a press release on Monday.

Last month, Serbian media reported that Koenig Metall plans to open a factory at a production hall in the Senjak industrial zone in Ivanjica in June.

Koenig Metall operates factories in the U.S., Canada, Russia, Portugal, Poland, Italy and Germany. It produces sheet metal, tubes and pipes to customer specifications for the metal and electronics industry, automotive, silencer and airbag industry, for mechanical engineering and various other sectors.
