Agile Properly Axed From $17.5 Billion Defense IT Procurement

The Defense Information Services Agency properly eliminated Agile Defense Inc. from a $17.5 billion procurement to provide IT support to military services and defense agencies called ENCORE III, the Federal Circuit said Tuesday.

The agency’s cost realism analysis of Agile Defense’s proposed labor rates complied with solicitation terms, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said.

The agency didn’t violate the solicitation by conducting an expanded review of proposed rates after becoming concerned that Agile’s pricing methodology might be defective, the court said.
