Production Planner: Assembly Integration and Test

Main purpose of job: We are looking for a planner to organise production according to contracted schedule, quality standards and cost targets. The successful candidate will be experienced in production planning but also be well versed in assembly production procedures and the ways to optimise. The production planner should be organised and be results driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills will be very useful for this role. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of the UK Assembly Operations

Development and preparation of work plans for Assembly Operations
Creation of working documents for the planned assembly operations in conjunction with Production Manager
Editing workplans from KMW and KMWS, according to published change notices.
Creation of assembly documents (procedures; sequence plans) in conjunction with Production Engineering.
Initiate and control the execution of orders for new and existing assemblies. Work cooperatively with the Production Planner for Hull Fabrication
Coordination of documents as required with responsible internal stakeholders, KMW, and external suppliers.
Contribute to production-oriented continuous improvement by influencing development activities by working with the Production Engineers.
Use plans generated to support material management, stock control and production requirements for materials
Active involvement in metrics driven continuous improvement activities.
Determination of the default time per operation according to comparative values or in accordance with validated production data.
Assist with labour planning to support Production throughout, but also team availability for training, CI Investigations and other business needs.
Liaise with Facilities and Maintenance teams regarding access to plant and processes.
Liaise on knowledge transfers to other locations, partners and affiliated companies

XRelevant experience

Production Planning / Scheduling
Understanding of technical and planning documents
SAP-knowledge
General computer skills (MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
2 + years of professional experience in manufacturing, automotive or other assembly environment
Basic knowledge of welding and/or assembly technology
Teamcenter knowledge would be an advantage
