Aurora factory converts to emergency bed production for pandemic relief

AURORA, Ill. – A metal fabricating company based in Aurora will now produce emergency beds to help in the fight against COVID-19.

Richards-Wilcox is transforming its 365,000 square-foot factory to exclusively produce the beds.

The beds will be available for hospitals, short-term medical facilities, shelters and other care venues.

Beds will be ready for shipment as early as next week, the company said.
