Ferrari shut down factory as F1 teams tell staff to self-isolate

Ferrari have shut down their factory for two weeks, while many of the other Formula One teams have told all personnel returning from Australia to stay at home for the next 14 days.

On what should have been the first race weekend of the season, the ten teams instead found themselves flying home after the cancellation of the race in Melbourne. The decision was eventually taken after McLaren pulled out when one of its team members tested positive for coronavirus.

With most teams packed up and out of Melbourne by Saturday, they now face uncertainty as to when the next race will be held.
