Fire at old Treatco factory

Firefighters were called to the old Treatco building around 4 a.m. Thursday.

Multiple fires were found in the factory but crews had to stay outside because because the building is not stable.

It is not clear what started the fire or how much more damage was done.

Crews will be at the factory for a while to keep an eye on things. Smoke from the fire is hanging low because of the weather, and several people have reported a bad smell with the smoke. Anyone in the area is advised to stay clear of the smoke if possible.
