Bengaluru, Feb 8: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa, stated that the list of portfolios for being distributed among the newly inducted ministers is ready. However, he said that he will distribute them on Monday as Saturday happens to be a holiday.
The chief minister had earlier said that the list would be made public on Saturday. He also had said then that if necessary, he might visit Delhi. However, he stated on Saturday, February 8, that he will reveal the list on Monday. At the same time, he denied news of his travelling to Delhi before this exercise.

It is learnt that almost all the new entrants to the ministry have a list of portfolios preferred by them. Some of them are adamant at getting particular departments in which they have interest. It is said that a few among them are eyeing to snatch away departments held by current minsters. It is learnt that Ramesh Jarkiholi is insistent on getting water resources department which was earlier held by D K Shivakumar. Bengaluru development department is sought by Gopalayya, Byrathi Basavarj, and S T Somashekhar, sources stated.
B C Patil reportedly is interested in becoming home minister. Whether his wishes will be honoured, and how will Yediyurappa satisfy their demands, will be known only on Monday.
