No decision has been taken whether to extend the scheme or not
The government is keeping the tax warehousing scheme which was rolled out by the state during the pandemic under review, but has not made any decision on whether to extend it.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin told the Dáil last week that the scheme, which 90,000 firms availed of had been “very effective”, but said business supports had to be in line with an EU framework which was currently being reviewed.
