Manitowoc Builder Discusses Supply Chain Issues & Delays

The owner of Bartow Builders said this week that supply chain issues continue to cause problems for his company and other trade partners.

During Tuesday’s “Welcome Home” program on WOMT and WCUB Radio, Brandon Bartow said they’ve been very busy doing planning and bidding with their customers, but with a notable change from previous years.

“What we have done is we’ve bid a project only for the total amount to come down, the scope and obviously the cost to come down,” he explained. “Then while we’re on the job site, those things are getting added back in.”

So, Bartow says that’s creating some challenges in getting products like they used to.

“There are many things that are not readily available,” he stated. “Select, unique colors, those things are pretty much a guarantee that we’re going to wait 6 to 8 weeks for. Any window projects we’re going to be waiting anywhere from 8 to 16 weeks.”

Brandon Bartow added, “It’s extremely frustrating for them and their trade partners who are dealing with the same challenges.
