Project will bring about a 60% increase in production capacity
Guangzhou City, China – Wanli Tire Co. has unveiled plans to upgrade its semi-steel radial tire manufacturing facility in Guangzhou City to enhance the site’s production capacity by 60%.
In an announcement last month, the Chinese tire maker said it had submitted an environmental impact report for the Yuan577-million (€85 million) “upgrade and technical transformation project” for public endorsement.
The project will involve upgrading all production lines and removing outdated equipment at the site to increase production capacity from 15 million units per year to 24 million units.
No new production area will be added to the existing facility under the new plan.
Wanli Tire Group is part of the Vanlead Group which also operates South China Tire & Rubber Co. and Guangzhou Rubber Enterprise Group Co. Ltd.
