Singaporean agri-business gets Cabinet nod for fertiliser procurement contract

Singaporean agri-business Ameropa Asia Ltd. was recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC) to award the tender for procuring a supply of 15,000 MT of Urea (Granular) to the Ceylon Fertiliser Company Ltd. and the Colombo Commercial Company Fertiliser Ltd.

The fertiliser will be purchased at the rate of $279.68 per MT at a total cost of $4.40 million.

Cabinet gave approval on Tuesday for the proposal made by the Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development Chamal Rajapaksa.
