Cheesecake Factory out with new flavor for National Cheesecake Day, with charitable donations

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Today – Saturday, July 30 – is National Cheesecake Day, and The Cheesecake Factory is out with its annual new flavor to benefit charity: Classic Basque Cheesecake.

The crustless cheesecake has a burnt top and a creamy, custard-like center with sweet caramelized notes. It’s covered with fresh berries and whipped cream.

A rep for the restaurant says the flavor was created in San Sebastian, Spain, more than 30 years ago.

The Cheesecake Factory will donate $1 per slice on all flavors sold on National Cheesecake Day to the hunger-relief organization Feeding America. For every slice of Classic Basque Cheesecake sold from July 31, 2022 through July 29, 2023, the restaurant will donate 25 cents to the organization. The restaurant has donated more than $5.9 million to the non-profit since 2008 through the sale of its designated cheesecakes.

And hold on to your hats: Classic Basque Cheesecake has 1,150 calories.

The Cheesecake Factory is at 24265 Cedar Road, Lyndhurst.
