Inchcape Mackinnon Mackenzie Shipping (Private) Limited, a joint venture between Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) and John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH), on Tuesday (19 July) introduced its Sri Lanka Bunker Procurement Services unit to the shipping market.
Through a partnership with JKH subsidiary Lanka Marine Services (Pvt) Ltd., the Bunker Procurement Services unit is now able to offer marine fuel [LSMGO (ISO 8217-2005), LSFO (ISO 8217-2017) & Intermediary blends (IFO 150 CST to 30 CST)] via tank truck and barge at the ports of Colombo, Galle, Hambantota and Trincomalee to receiving vessels.
“All activities of the bunker call such as inward / outward clearances, approvals, supply coordination, sample collection and dispatch are handled through a single point of contact – ensuring maximum efficiency and a quick turnaround in a single window for bunkers, husbandry and agency,” stated ISS in a social media post.
Lanka Marine Services is the only OHSAS 18001:2007 accredited bunker supplier operating in Sri Lanka, with all of the firm’s barges being equipped with volumetric meters and MARPOL samplers, notes ISS.
“All other husbandry and marine services the vessel may require can be provided and coordinated during the bunker call,” it adds.
“We ensure high quality, reliable and cost-effective bunker procurement services in Sri Lanka by providing a single window for bunkers, husbandry and agency.”
Inchcape Shipping Services and John Keells Holdings entered into a joint agreement to form Inchcape Mackinnon Mackenzie Shipping (Private) Limited in July 2021.
